
A tragic incident in Minna, Niger State, has left the community in shock. On January 27, 2026, Engr. Dr. Otori Abdulfatai Aiyede, reportedly a lecturer, visited the home of a nursing student, Stella Joseph.
During the visit, he was served spaghetti and egg, after which he began convulsing, collapsed, and was later pronounced dead at General Hospital, Minna.
According to sources the student was taken into custody, and investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the lecturer’s death. His body has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.
At this time, details about the relationship between the deceased and the student, and the cause of the sudden death, remain under investigation.
