Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has left the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters after questioning, promising to surprise the current government.
El-Rufai, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), assured Nigerians that his party will provide a credible alternative platform and candidate to defeat President Tinubu in the next election.
The EFCC had invited El-Rufai for questioning over alleged corruption during his tenure as governor.
However, El-Rufai has denied any wrongdoing, alleging that the investigations are politically motivated. His media aide, Muyiwa Adekeye, claimed that security officials attempted to arrest El-Rufai at the airport, but he refused to comply without a formal invitation .
