In an exclusive interview with ALU,TV. Monitored in Kano via Social Media Tik-tok, Senator Aliyu Wammakko expressed his support for Ahmed Aliyu, the incumbent Governor of Sokoto, citing his loyalty and dedication to the state.
Wammakko, a prominent APC chieftain who is also Chairman House Committee on both Local, Foreign Debts, stated that despite bringing similar calibre or individuals to govern Sokoto, he is impressed with Aliyu’s performance and loyalty, having risen through the ranks from clerk to Director of Finance.
“Ahmed Aliyu has been loyal to me and has always asked for our advice,” Wammakko said.
Wammakko’s endorsement highlights Aliyu’s commitment to public service and his ability to deliver results for Sokoto State. The Senator’s support is seen as a significant boost to Aliyu’s re-election bid, with many expecting a strong campaign ahead of the upcoming elections.
“He has only held a few political offices, including, Commissioner, Deputy Governor for 4 years and Executive Secretary of Police Pensions Funds. He has raised him, and he was loyal, and today we would support him with all our wisdom before we get someone that will deliver Sokoto like him.”
