Nafisa Usman, a 25-year-old woman, was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) in Kano for allegedly supplying ammunition to terrorists in Katsina State.
She was caught with 200 rounds of new ammunition concealed in bags of garri and rice at a major motor park in Kano.
Nafisa according sources, revealed to our reporter, claimed she was introduced to the network by Sulaiman, a livestock trader, and had been involved in the trade for about two months, receiving supplies from “Teso”, allegedly linked to a soldier in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
She confessed to supplying ammunition to Mallam Haruna, a bandit operating in Kankara forest, and other individuals, including Buba and Abu, with transactions worth ₦5 million.
Nafisa expressed regret over her involvement and claimed she was unaware of the ammunition’s intended use.
Security expert, told Newsmen in Kano that hardship and love for money as sources income has triggered many girls lured to business activities of arms saying “most girls don’t look at the dangers”.
