‘FRIENDS’ of the ritualist Jeffery Epstein, such as the pedophiliac US President, Donald Trump, are not THE only followers of the devil. Many of them exist in Nigeria, even though they are not world-famous enough to be friends with the tutti de tutti (Epstein) of the infamous ritualists.
AND in Nigeria, the most busy time for the hidden followers of SATAN is near the next general elections. Many contestants to both high and low political offices, and those who ogle for big appointments, cannot claim to be unaware of this reprehensible phenomenon, as it is done directly by them, or by others, on their behalf.
THE approach of another round of general elections in Nigeria therefore portends danger of additional ritual murders, than at any other time. Election time is no ordinary time in Nigeria, when even non voters are not unaware of the evil that takes place in the country.
IT is therefore a time to be extremely careful, time to take a special care to avoid being lonely, on foot or driving in private or commercial vehicles of any kind. One must always remain wary of one-chancers. But if the need for the ‘Jo urney’ becomes extremely inevitable, then it is advisable that someone leave the addresses of their movements to people very close to them.
MOST of the victims or this dastardly activity are the wandering urchins, better known as child beggars (almajirais). They are found on the streets, forcing themselves into houses begging for remnants of food. It therefore very easy to lure them to empty or secret places to kill.
THE report of the recent ritual murder of an unidentified child and the jungle justice meted out to the suspect, in Gombe state, reminds me of the two close shaves I had with death between 2006 and 2007. I nearly became a victim of murder, but as God would have it, I live to be telling the story NOW.
ONE occasion I suspected ritual murderers, whereas armed robbers were the suspects for my near-death incident the second occasion.
THE first incident occurred around 11 PM, when I was travelling to Katsina from my neck of the woods (Malumfashi). As I neared the EKA bridge, some very bright headlights suddenly shone directly into my face, almost blinding me. Since I was driving with the headlights of my vehicle also on the high, I quickly dipped it, expecting the driver of the ‘oncoming’ vehicle to follow my example and dip ‘his’ own headlights too.
HE did not, and unknown to me the ‘oncoming’ car was actually STATIONARY, and directly on my lane. What is more, it was parked at the end of the bridge, immediately before a large concrete ditch. The driver’s evil intention was to make my car fall into the ditch, since I would be thinking that I was driving on my lane, and ‘him’ on his’.
ALMOST on the last moment, God made me to realise that the ‘oncoming’ unblinking car was STATIONARY parked on my lane, upon which I reflexively swerved into the other lane, and continued driving to Katsina without inquisitively stopping to find out what the matter was. By the way, the EKA bridge was notorious for accidents said to be caused by alleged ritualists.
AND the second occasion happened around 8.30 PM in Abuja. I was driving from my principal’s office to where I worked (the headquarters of Daily Trust), when I noticed a car was driving fast behind me, trying to overtake my old jalopy. I also noticed that the rear door of the ‘racing’ car was opened and one man was standing precariously in the doorway.
TRYING to be helpful, I slowed a little and shouted ‘Hey you, one of your doors was opened’. At that very moment, I arrived at the place where I had to veer off to the road that would take me to my place of work. At that moment, I felt guilty for not trafficking long way before I reached the point of the swerve, as was my wont.
AS it was too late for the occupants of the speeding vehicle to continue ‘chasing’ me, the ‘precariously standing’ man started SHOOTING randomly at my car, upon which it then dawned on me that the people I was trying to help were actually armed robbers, trying to steal the car, or kill me and go with the car. Abuja was that bad at the time.
MAY God prevent all humans from falling victims of ritualists, wherever and under whatever circumstance they (the innocents) may find themselves.
