Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has urged women to exercise caution when handling cooking gas, stoves, and firewood following a deadly fire incident that claimed a life in Gidan Igwai area.
The governor condoled with Alhaji Mande Maigona, whose house was gutted by fire, and assured him of government support.
Governor Aliyu also visited several families who lost loved ones, including a former driver to ex-Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, and offered condolences. He prayed for the deceased and asked the families to regard the incidents as acts of God 🌙.
The government urges citizens to prioritize safety when handling inflammable materials to prevent such incidents in the future.
