The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has unveiled a commemorative book documenting his years of public service, humanitarian activities and contributions to the development of society.
The book, titled “From Service to Leadership: The Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna Story — A Record of Impact, Compassion, Experience and Vision for a Greater Gombe State,” was authored by Mr Aderinto Babajide Adedayo, Project Manager of the Jamilu Isyaku Foundation.
The publication, unveiled in honour of Gwamna, chronicles selected aspects of his career, humanitarian interventions, leadership experience and activities across various fields of human endeavour.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the author said the book was designed to provide a concise record of Gwamna’s achievements and contributions over the years.
Adedayo explained that the publication was also intended to introduce Gwamna to a wider section of the electorate by documenting some of the initiatives and interventions associated with his years of service to humanity.
According to him, the book provides information that could help the public understand Gwamna’s background, experiences, values and approach to service.
He added that the publication would serve as a reference material for party spokespersons and grassroots campaign teams across Gombe State as they engage voters and communicate the APC candidate’s ideas and vision.
The author said the book brings together selected records of Gwamna’s activities and contributions, with emphasis on service, compassion, experience and his aspirations for a greater Gombe State.
The unveiling attracted professionals, community leaders, representatives of traditional institutions, religious leaders, government officials, partner organisations, grassroots actors and supporters of the APC candidate.
The gathering provided an opportunity for supporters and associates of Gwamna to reflect on his years of public engagement and humanitarian activities.
In his remarks, Gwamna expressed appreciation to the author and everyone who contributed to the production and unveiling of the publication.
He described the book as an important record of his journey, saying he would support efforts to make more copies available to Nigerians interested in knowing more about his background, character, public service and contributions to society.
Gwamna also pledged to support the wider circulation of the publication so that its contents could reach more people, particularly across Gombe State and beyond.
The event concluded with the formal launch of the book, during which Gwamna, on behalf of his friends, made a ₦10 million contribution towards the publication and wider distribution of the book.
A statement signed by Ibrahim Sani Shawai, spokesman to Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, said the unveiling was held on September 22, 2026, as part of efforts to document and present the APC candidate’s record of service and leadership to the public.
