IBB Varsity Student, Isah Mokwa, To Be Arraigned At Magistrate Court For Calling Niger Governor Bago “Governor Amunike”!
According to reports, the student of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBB), Lapai, is set to appear in court after he allegedly made a social media post referring to Governor Umar Bago as “Governor Amunike.”
Many Nigerians have described the move as a gross abuse of power and freedom of expression, questioning why a nickname should lead to legal trouble in a democracy.
Students and activists across Niger State are reportedly planning peaceful protests, demanding that the government stop intimidating young people for expressing their opinions.
