A veteran journalist and General Manager of Alu FM, Sokoto, Alhaji Hayatu Jibo Dallatu, has been appointed the new District Head of Tudun Wada, Sarkin Gabas of Tudun Wada, by the Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu.
Former Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Bashir Rabe Mani, described the appointment as well deserved, saying Dallatu’s wealth of experience would contribute to the development of Tudun Wada, Sokoto South Local Government Area and the state at large.
Mani, who is also the Dan Masanin Mani, Publisher of Global News Guru and Sokoto State Correspondent of Peoples Daily, expressed confidence that the new traditional ruler would consolidate on the achievements of his late father, Alhaji Jibo Dan Mallam, Uban Kasar Tudun Wada.
He urged residents, traditional institutions and other stakeholders to support the new District Head with prayers and cooperation as he assumes the responsibilities attached to the revered traditional throne of his forefathers.
Mani also commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, and APC leader in the state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, for their confidence in Dallatu. He expressed optimism that the new Sarkin Gabas would discharge his responsibilities with dedication and integrity.
