The Muslim community in Sokoto gathered to bid farewell to late Sani Dangwaggo, a dedicated security aide to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, who passed away at 58 after a brief illness.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto led hundreds of mourners at the funeral prayer held at Senator Wamakko’s residence, with the Chief Imam of Sultan Bello Jumu’atu Mosque, Mallam Malami Akwara, leading the prayers.
Governor Aliyu expressed his condolences to Senator Wamakko and the bereaved family, praying for Allah’s forgiveness and eternal rest for the deceased.
He urged the Muslim Ummah to reflect on life’s transience and continue praying for departed souls. Late Sani Dangwaggo, popularly known as Sani Jaman, is survived by two wives, seven children, and his aged mother, Hajiya Safiya.
May his service and loyalty to Senator Wamakko and his community be remembered and honored. May Allah grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
