Iyabo Obasanjo, daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who’s joining the Ogun State governorship race, not the former President himself.
She’s done with the Senate and is now focusing on becoming the governor of Ogun State under the All Progressives Congress (APC) banner .
Iyabo Obasanjo has a background in politics, having served as Ogun State Commissioner for Health and a senator from 2007 to 2011.
She’s been away from politics for about 15 years, pursuing an academic career in the United States, but says she’s been encouraged by supporters to return.
