Nasir El-Rufai and Uba Sani, former and current governors of Kaduna State, have reconciled at Gudu cemetery where El-Rufai’s mother was buried.Â
The reconciliation was facilitated by former Minister of Communication, Dr. Ali Pantami, who urged them to forgive each other.
This development comes amidst ongoing tensions between the two, with El-Rufai facing corruption allegations and investigations by anti-graft agencies.
The reconciliation’s impact on El-Rufai’s case is uncertain, as it’s unclear if it will influence the anti-graft agencies’ decisions. Bello El-Rufai, Nasir’s son, has maintained a distance from the feud, focusing on his constituency’s development.
His future in Kaduna politics remains promising, given his popularity and APC connections.
Uba Sani’s followers might withdraw their aggressive stance against El-Rufai and co., considering the reconciliation. However, this depends on the governor’s next moves and his supporters’ sentiments.
