A prominent Zaria-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Alkali Abubakar Salihu Zaria, has issued a stern warning to Pastor Emmanuel Sunday Garba for allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In a viral video, Sheikh Zaria vowed to take matters into his own hands if the government doesn’t act against the pastor, stating, “Any day we cross paths with him, he is certainly going to the hereafter”.
Sheikh Zaria emphasized that Muslims have never insulted other faiths’ prophets or holy books, questioning why such provocation is directed at Islam.
He cited Islamic teachings, saying anyone who insults the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) must be executed, even if they repent.
The cleric urged the government and security agencies to take immediate action against Garba to prevent escalation, stating Muslims have the right to demand justice.
He warned that Islam is a religion of peace, but continued insults against the Prophet and faith won’t be tolerated.
The video has intensified controversy surrounding Pastor Garba, who has made repeated inflammatory attacks on Islam and Muslims, sparking calls for his arrest and prosecution across Northern Nigeria.
