Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, former Deputy Governor of Kano State, has taken legal action against Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf’s aide, deepening the political crisis in the state.
Gwarzo had previously withdrawn his impeachment challenge, citing “patriotic considerations” and a desire to pursue a political path aligned with his vision for good governance and sustainable development.
The move comes amid tensions between Gwarzo and Governor Yusuf, with allegations of diversion of local government funds and abuse of office.
The Kano State House of Assembly had initiated impeachment proceedings against Gwarzo, but he withdrew his court challenge, effectively ending the legal battle.
