Governor Ademola Adeleke on Saturday cast his vote in the ongoing 2026 Osun State governorship election at his polling unit in Sagba/Abogunde Ward 2, Polling Unit 9, located in Ede North Local Government Area.
The governor arrived at the polling unit amid security presence and was warmly received by party supporters, electoral officials, and residents who had gathered to participate in the election.
After completing the accreditation process, Governor Adeleke cast his ballot without any reported incident, describing the exercise as peaceful and orderly.
Speaking briefly with journalists after voting, Adeleke expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election at his polling unit and encouraged eligible voters across the state to come out and exercise their democratic rights.
The governor also urged political parties, candidates, and their supporters to conduct themselves peacefully and avoid any actions capable of disrupting the electoral process.Voting continued across various polling units in Osun State, with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) overseeing the exercise while security agencies maintained order.
Residents were seen arriving at polling centres to cast their ballots, as electoral officials carried out accreditation and voting in accordance with established procedures.
