National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu led a high-powered delegation to the United States to address allegations of Christian genocide in Nigeria.
The delegation met with US Congressman Riley Moore, who has been pushing the genocide narrative, and discussed counterterrorism, security assistance, and protection of vulnerable communities.
The meeting aimed to explain Nigeria’s challenges and concerns regarding terrorism and violence, particularly in the Northeast and Middle Belt regions.
Congressman Moore emphasized the US’s commitment to ending violence against Christians and disrupting terrorist groups, urging Nigeria to cooperate .
The Nigerian delegation included top officials, such as Bianca Ojukwu, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Kayode Egbetokun, Inspector General of Police, and Lateef Fagbemi, Attorney General of the Federation . This decision is s coming after the insecurity escalated recently where a senior Army Officer was seen killed and abduction of Kebbi schoolgirls numbered 25 still missing.
