The Federal Government has issued fresh guidelines for candidates participating in the ongoing recruitment exercise into key paramilitary agencies, urging applicants to ignore misleading information circulating online.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) said there is no approved dress code for the medical screening phase of the exercise scheduled to commence on June 22, 2026.
In a public notice released by the Board, applicants seeking employment in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) were advised to attend the screening in decent and appropriate attire.
The Board also clarified that candidates are not required to bring academic or other credentials to the screening centres, stressing that no document verification exercise will be conducted during the medical examination stage.
According to the notice, any directive instructing applicants to wear specific clothing or present credentials should be disregarded, as such information did not originate from the Board.
The CDCFIB urged candidates to rely only on information released through its official communication channels to avoid falling victim to misinformation.
The Board further assured applicants of a transparent and orderly screening process and encouraged them to regularly monitor official platforms for updates regarding their screening dates, venues and other recruitment-related information.
