Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has paid glowing tribute to the late Islamic scholar and spiritual leader, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, describing his death as a profound loss to Nigeria and the wider Muslim Ummah.
Senator Tambuwal made this known after he joined a family delegation led by Khalifa Buhari Ibrahim and Waziri Usman Maccido to Bauchi to offer condolences to the Bauchi Emirate and the family of the late cleric.
According to him, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi maintained a long standing tradition of visiting parents and spiritual leaders in Tambuwal during his lifetime, a practice that reflected his deep respect for Islamic scholarship, lineage, and spiritual continuity. He noted that the bond between the revered scholar and the Tambuwal community was rooted in mutual reverence for knowledge and faith.
Senator Tambuwal described the late Sheikh as a towering figure whose teachings and sermons shaped minds, strengthened faith, and guided generations across Nigeria and beyond. He emphasised that the scholar’s life was devoted to the service of knowledge, humility, and the unity of the Ummah.
While mourning his passing, the Senator said the legacy of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi would continue to endure through the countless lives he touched and the enduring values he instilled in his followers.
He prayed that Almighty Allah forgive the shortcomings of the departed scholar, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and comfort his family, disciples, and all those affected by the loss.
