The Acting Zonal Director of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kano Directorate, Assistant Commander of the EFCC (ACE I), Friday S. Ebelo, on Monday, August 10, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Regional Administrator of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr. Ismail Abdullahi, at the Service’s Kano regional office.
The visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the EFCC and the Nigeria Revenue Service, while exploring new areas of collaboration in tackling financial crimes, improving revenue generation, and promoting transparency in public financial management.
Speaking during the visit, Ebelo emphasized the importance of cooperation among government institutions in addressing economic and financial crimes. He noted that effective information sharing and joint efforts between the EFCC and the NRS would enhance the fight against corruption and other financial offences.
In his remarks, Dr. Ismail Abdullahi welcomed the EFCC delegation and commended the Commission for its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s economy.
He reaffirmed the Nigeria Revenue Service’s readiness to work closely with the anti-graft agency in ensuring tax compliance and strengthening accountability across the region.
The courtesy visit concluded with both agencies expressing their commitment to deepening institutional collaboration through regular engagement, intelligence sharing, and coordinated initiatives aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and sustainable economic development in Nigeria.
