…Yusuf, Kwankwaso, others attended burial prayers


The Kano State House of Assembly has confirmed the death of one of its members, Alhaji Aminu Ungogo, who represented the Ungogo Constituency.
Ungogo, the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, passed away on Wednesday while performing his legislative duties at the Assembly complex. His death followed a brief illness.
The announcement was made in a statement issued in Kano by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the House, Mr Kamaluddeen Shawai.
According to the statement, the deceased lawmaker is survived by his wife and children.
Reacting to the loss, the Speaker of the Assembly, Jibril Falgore, expressed condolences to Ungogo’s family, his constituents and fellow lawmakers. He described the death as a major setback for the Assembly and the state, particularly at a time when the contributions of the late legislator were greatly needed.
The Speaker offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Ungogo’s soul and urged his family and supporters to find comfort in their faith.
Meanwhile, the burial of Aminu Ungogo was held at his hometown attended by Governor Abbah Kabiru and Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso as well other dignitaries from the state.
