Governor Ahmed Aliyu was among hundreds of Muslim faithful who attended the funeral prayer of late Sani Dangwaggo,a security aide to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko popularly known as Jamam, who passed away on Saturday evening.
Late Sani Dangwaggo, a retired police officer served as security aide to the State APC Leader, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, died at the age of 58 in a hospital in Abuja after a protracted illness.
He is survived by old age mother, two wives, seven children.
The funeral prayer, led by the Chief Imam of Sultan Bello Jumu’at Mosque, Sheikh Malami Bello Akwara, took place at the residence of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko along Sahabi Dange Road in the Gawon Nama area of Sokoto.
Among the dignitaries who attended the funeral prayer were Governor Ahmed Aliyu; Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga; Deputy Speaker, Kabir Ibrahim Kware; Member representing Kware/Wamakko Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmad Abdullahi Kalambaina; the Galadiman Gari, State APC Chairman Isa Saddiq Achida,Secretary to the State Government Muhammad Bello Sifawa,Galadiman Gari, Alhaji Aliyu Attahiru; commissioners; special advisers; heads of federal and state government agencies; ulama; traditional rulers; politicians; and relatives of the deceased.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu described the late Sani Dangwaggo as a humble, honest, dedicated and committed aide who discharged his duties with passion and the fear of God.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and comfort his family during this difficult time.
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the late Sani Dangwaggo (Jamam).
The late Sani Dangwaggo was buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
