Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has revealed that his decision to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) is driven by a desire to serve the people and promote development, rather than personal ambition.
“This is not about power, but purpose,” he said, emphasizing his commitment to delivering sustainable development to Taraba State.
Governor Kefas made this statement after formally joining the APC, praising President Bola Tinubu’s leadership as results-driven and pledging to make Taraba State open for development and investment.
He also thanked the APC national leadership for welcoming him and vowed to work with stakeholders to redefine Taraba’s future and ensure fairness.
The governor’s defection comes after a series of strategic moves, including the signing of a $268.6 million deal with the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development to boost agriculture, energy, and industrial development in Taraba State.
Shettima has emphasized that the APC is a truly national party, open to all Nigerians committed to unity, peace, and inclusive development. He’s also praised President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as a results-driven leader.
