The Ministry for Higher Education, Sokoto State, has issued a statement to address misleading information circulating on social media regarding the procurement and distribution of JAMB/UTME and Direct Entry forms for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The ministry clarified that the ₦250,000,000 budget provision is a comprehensive projection covering the full scope of the intervention, including form purchase, registration fees, logistics, and capacity-building training.
The procurement of forms is not phased, but distribution is sequenced for transparency and effective supervision.
The government has approved free provision of JAMB/UTME and Direct Entry forms, including registration fees, to support qualified indigenes’ access to tertiary education.
The ministry urges the public to disregard speculative reports and rely on official government channels for information.
