Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Ahmadu Bello Danbaba the grandson of Sir Ahmadu Bello, as the new Magajin Garin Sokoto and Senior Councillor in the Sultanate Council.
Danbaba is a great-grandson of the late Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto and former Premier of Northern Nigeria.
He succeeds his father, Alhaji Hassan Danbaba, who previously held the revered traditional title after his demised few years ago.
Additionally, 25 other district heads have been appointed to fill vacant traditional stools in the state, including ¹:
– *Dangaladiman Kwargaba*: Alhaji Abdulkadir Abubakar Chacho
– *Marafan Alkammu*: Alhaji Kabiru Marafa
– *Sarkin Gabas Tulluwa*: Sulaiman Abdullahi Madawaki
– *Sarkin Rafin Illela*: Sahabi Isah Wakili
– *Baraden Wamakko*: Alhaji Ahmed Barade
