Rumors circulating on social media suggest that former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, is planning to visit his friend, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who is currently being held by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
This visit is seen as a gesture of reciprocity, as El-Rufai had previously visited Sanusi Lamido Sanusi when he was detained in Loko, Nasarawa State.
The development comes amidst El-Rufai’s ongoing trial, facing charges of abuse of office, fraud, and money laundering. All effort to seek reaction of the Emir proved abortive.
