The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over potential betrayals within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Sunday through his media aide, the cleric warned that not all APC governors are fully loyal to the president, claiming that some are only partially committed to his administration and future ambitions.
Ayodele specifically pointed to several northern states where he said Tinubu must intensify political engagement to avoid setbacks.
According to him, states such as Kano State, Kaduna State, Katsina State, Kebbi State, Gombe State, Benue State, and Adamawa State may present significant political challenges.
He warned that internal divisions and possible betrayals in these states could weaken the president’s chances if not carefully managed.
The cleric added that some governors are “one leg in and one leg out,” suggesting uncertainty in their political alignment.
Despite the concerns, Ayodele also identified states he believes could remain supportive of Tinubu’s re-election bid.
These include Taraba State, Niger State, Sokoto State, and Borno State, urging the president not to take their loyalty for granted.
He further claimed that opposition forces, including figures aligned with Atiku Abubakar, are actively strategising in the northern region, potentially reshaping the political landscape ahead of the polls.
Ayodele’s remarks add to a series of political predictions and warnings as stakeholders continue to position themselves for what is expected to be a highly contested 2027 election
