Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has warned that Nigeria is “doomed” if the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu retain power in 2027.
Lawal, who recently resigned from the APC, joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and is part of a coalition aiming to unseat Tinubu.
He believes the current administration is failing Nigerians, citing economic hardship and insecurity as major concerns. Even though, stakeholders see Tinubu as extension of Baba Buhari ‘s continuity.
Lawal’s statement has sparked fresh political reactions, with debates intensifying ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The coalition, which includes notable political figures like Atiku Abubakar, Devid Mark, Oyegun, Abukar Malami, Kwankwaso, Peter Obi, and Nasir El-Rufai, is seeking to provide an alternative to the APC.
