Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s Kwankwasiyya Movement has secured 60% of leadership positions in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State.
This decision was reached during a stakeholders’ meeting, where party members deliberated on and settled the leadership structure.
Kwankwaso revealed that his group was initially offered 80% of positions but opted for 60% to promote inclusiveness and allow broader participation within the party structure.
The remaining 40% will be distributed among existing party members and other groups that recently joined the party.
The power-sharing arrangement has been welcomed by party members, with ADC Chairman Musa Ungogo stating that every group and member is happy about the sharing formula. Kwankwaso urged his supporters to remain patient and avoid internal disputes over positions.
