
A 41-year-old married woman, Sandra, was found dead in the room of her alleged lover, Lucky Isuma, 41, in Kano State, Nigeria.
The incident occurred on April 11, 2026, and the police have arrested Isuma in connection with her death.
According to reports, Sandra was a mother of five and hailed from Abia State. Neighbors stated that she had been a frequent visitor to Isuma’s house, and on the day of the incident, she had requested food before her death. Isuma had gone out to get the food when Sandra passed away.
The police spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed that no visible signs of violence were found on Sandra’s body, and she was taken to Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, where a medical doctor confirmed her death. An autopsy may be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. The police are urging the public to come forward with any information that may aid the investigation.
The incident has sparked shock among residents of the predominantly non-native community in Sabon Gari, Kano. The police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding Sandra’s death and will make the outcome of the investigation public in due course.
