Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, former Abia State Governor Orji Uzor Kalu, and former Senate President Bukola Saraki have congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the Osun State governorship election.
Kwankwaso, in a personal statement shared on social media, described Adeleke as his friend and congratulated him on securing another term in office.
He also commended the people of Osun State for exercising their democratic rights and making their voices heard.
Kalu also congratulated Adeleke, describing the outcome of the election as a reflection of the democratic choice of the people of Osun State.
He urged the governor to see the renewed mandate as an opportunity to consolidate his achievements and continue serving the people.
Similarly, Saraki, a former President of the Senate, congratulated Adeleke on his re-election, joining other prominent political leaders who have reacted to the outcome of the poll. Reports said the congratulatory messages were conveyed through individual statements and social media posts.
The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Adeleke the winner of the election after he secured 511,067 votes, defeating his closest rival, APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.
The congratulatory messages from the political leaders have added to reactions to the outcome and the renewed mandate given to the Osun governor.
