The Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, has described the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, as a legendary leader and a game changer in governance, citing his administration’s achievements in security, agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure and human empowerment.
Engr. Farouk made the remarks on Saturday when a delegation of the Kebbi State Government’s media aides, led by the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, paid him a courtesy visit at his residence in Abuja.
The NAMA Managing Director said Governor Nasir Idris had changed the narrative of leadership and governance in Kebbi State through innovative policies and programmes, noting that the state had witnessed significant progress under the present administration.
According to him, although previous administrations made commendable contributions to the development of the state, the continuity and fresh initiatives of the current administration had produced remarkable milestones in governance, particularly in human empowerment and infrastructural development.
He highlighted the administration’s achievements in key sectors, including security, healthcare, agriculture, education, road infrastructure and youth and human empowerment.
On security, Engr. Farouk commended Governor Nasir Idris for the resources and attention devoted to strengthening security across the state, saying the administration’s efforts had contributed significantly to reducing security challenges.
He also praised the Governor’s agricultural interventions, particularly the provision of free fertilisers and water-pumping machines to farmers, describing the initiatives as evidence of the administration’s commitment to improving agricultural productivity and supporting the people.
The NAMA boss further expressed confidence in the Governor’s leadership and urged the people of Kebbi State to continue supporting his administration.
“There is no vacancy in the Kebbi State Government House. We have never had it so good like this present administration. I urge the people of the state to support Kauran Gwandu’s second-term bid,” he said.
Earlier, the Kebbi State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, said the purpose of the visit was to appreciate Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar for his support for APC administrations at both the state and federal levels.
The Commissioner said Governor Nasir Idris had given the people of Kebbi State a strong sense of belonging through impactful policies and programmes across various sectors.
He added that the Governor’s administration had touched virtually every sector of the state, saying this had further strengthened the government’s resolve to communicate and showcase its achievements to the people of Kebbi State and beyond.
