A 42-year-old man, identified as Oji Okoro, has been arrested by the Edo State Police Command for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old boy.
Okoro was among 16 suspects paraded by the command for alleged offences including kidnapping, vandalism, unlawful possession of firearms and other crimes.
The command’s spokesperson, Eno Ikoedem, said Okoro was arrested for committing an “unnatural offence” against the minor.
The police also paraded suspects accused of vandalising equipment belonging to Africa Independent Television in Benin, pipeline vandalism and a staged kidnapping.
One suspect, Chigozie Anthony, allegedly lured a girl through TikTok and demanded N500,000 from her parents, although he claimed the incident was planned with the girl.
