KADUNA — The President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku, FNIPR, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hajiya Asiya Zubairu Sirajo.
Hajiya Asiya was the mother of the Immediate Past President of NIPR, Alhaji Mukhtar Zubairu Sirajo, FNIPR.
In a condolence message issued on Monday, Dr. Neliaku extended heartfelt sympathies to Alhaji Sirajo and the entire Sirajo family.
Dr. Neliaku prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings.
He also prayed that Allah accepts her good deeds and grants her Aljannah Firdaus.
He further asked for comfort, peace, and strength for the family in this period of grief.
In line with the President’s directive, NIPR sent a high-powered delegation to the funeral in Kaduna.
The delegation represented the President, Council, and the entire membership of the Institute.
The team was led by Council Member, Musa Bashir Usman, FNIPR.
Other members included Brig. Gen. Sani Kukasheka, rtd, FNIPR, also a Council Member.
Also in attendance were key officials of the Kaduna State Chapter.
They were Mal. Mohammed Abdullahi, anipr, Chairman of NIPR Kaduna; Mal. Haroun Malami, MNIPR, Immediate Past Chairman; and Mr. Adeleke Saheed, Secretary of the chapter.
Mal. Mohammed El-Nafaty, a former Chairman of NIPR Kaduna, was also part of the delegation.
The Honourable Commissioner of Information, Kaduna State, represented the state government at the event.
The funeral prayer was held at Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Mosque, Tudun Wada, Kaduna.
The burial took place shortly after at Bachama Road Cemetery, Tudun Wada, Kaduna.
During the visit, Musa Bashir Usman presented a condolence letter on behalf of the President and Council.
The letter conveyed the Institute’s solidarity with the bereaved family.
In his response, Alhaji Mukhtar Zubairu Sirajo expressed profound gratitude.
He thanked the President, Council, and all NIPR members for their prayers and physical presence.
Sirajo prayed to Allah to bless and reward the NIPR President, Council Members, and the entire NIPR family.
He described the Institute’s gesture as a demonstration of unity and professionalism.
The Institute described the late Hajiya Asiya as a woman of virtue who raised a distinguished public relations leader.
NIPR said it remains committed to supporting members in times of joy and sorrow.
Dr. Neliaku urged members nationwide to continue praying for the repose of the deceased.
He said the Institute stands with the Sirajo family and will remember them in prayers.
