Pantami community in Gombe State stood still on Sunday as thousands of residents trooped out to welcome the APC governorship candidate, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna.
The massive reception turned into a major political rally, as men and women, youths and elders came out to see and welcome the candidate.
Dr. Gwamna visited the area to commission a new APC campaign office, which was opened by Alhaji Abdulhamid Jibrin, to strengthen the party’s campaign activities and mobilize support from the grassroots level.
However, what attracted more attention at the event was the large turnout of people, including men and women, youths, elders and children, who came out to see the candidate, turning the office opening into a show of support for the Sardaunan Gombe.
Residents of the area expressed their happiness over Dr. Gwamna’s visit, while those who had the opportunity to speak at the event said he is the candidate they believe is most qualified and suitable to lead Gombe State.
In his address, Dr. Jamil Gwamna commended the special reception accorded him by the people of Pantami, expressing gratitude for their hospitality, respect and support.
He also emphasized the importance of continuous direct engagement with the people, to understand their needs and strengthen unity in providing beneficial leadership to the masses.
The event was part of the APC’s efforts to expand campaign activities and strengthen community relations at the grassroots level, as the 2027 general election approaches.
