By Mahmoud Musa, Gusau.
The attack on Malele village comes amid growing insecurity along the Gusau-Dansadau road in Zamfara State, a major route that connects several communities and serves as a lifeline for residents.
Reports by our reporter says armed bandits have been blocking the road, damaging vehicles and threatening travellers, with some passengers also feared abducted following recent attacks along the route.
The situation is becoming increasingly dangerous for residents and people who depend on the road to travel, transport goods and reach nearby communities, leaving many stranded and afraid to move.
Bandits have also reportedly threatened to attack more vehicles, leaving motorists and passengers worried about their safety, as the highway becomes a hotspot for criminal activities in the state.
The attack is coming when President appointed Senator Abdulzeez Yari as APC presidential Campaign Council Director General.
People should not have to risk their lives just to travel on a public road, and authorities need to act urgently to protect residents, secure the highway and stop these attacks from spreading to more communities.
