The ongoing crisis surrounding the APC Congress in Ondo State has escalated tragically, claiming the lives of three individuals, including Ralph Adetimehin, the brother of the Ondo State APC chairman, Engr Ade Adetimehin. Ralph was shot and killed amidst the violence that erupted during the congress in Idanre.
A family source reached out to Starnews NG on Wednesday afternoon, expressing profound grief during a telephone conversation. They confirmed that Ralph, who was closely linked to the chairman and a brother, had been fatally shot in the chaos.
The source further revealed that two other men were also killed during the violent confrontations, although the details surrounding the fatalities have yet to be officially confirmed by the police. “I can tell you confidently that there is another guy who drives a Venza and one other who were shot and killed today in Idanre,” the source stated, although they were unable to provide the names of the additional victims at the time of the report.
In response to the situation, police personnel have been deployed to the area to help douse tensions and restore order as the situation continues to unfold. Authorities are expected to provide further updates as investigations into the violence proceed, but the tragic loss of life has left the Ondo APC community in mourning
