Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has cautioned journalists to be wary of politicians, particularly his predecessor Nasir El-Rufai, whom he referred to as “latter-day activists”.
Sani stated that these individuals were anti-democratic forces during Nigeria’s struggle for democracy and are now posing as activists.
Sani emphasized that journalists played a crucial role in Nigeria’s democracy and should not allow these politicians to undermine their efforts.
He highlighted his government’s achievements, including reducing the number of out-of-school children from 580,000 to 182,000 and renovating 15 out of 32 secondary hospitals.
El-Rufai has responded, saying he was never friends with Sani and was only his mentor. He accused Sani of being behind attacks on opposition politicians and questioned his loyalty to President Bola Tinubu.
