A security volunteer, Abdurrauf A. Sheriff, was stabbed to death by suspected hoodlums in Kano while on duty.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested four suspects in connection with the killing and is working with other security agencies to ensure justice is served.
The incident occurred on Thursday at about 1:30 a.m. along Gyadi Gyadi Court Road. The NSCDC has expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and reassured residents of its commitment to ridding the state of criminal elements.
