Former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has donated N10 million to support 10,000 orphans in Sokoto State, helping them celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with dignity.
The donation was made through the Sokoto State Zakat and Endowment Agency, with Chairman Lawal Maidoki receiving the funds.
Wamakko’s gesture aims to bring joy to vulnerable individuals, especially orphans, during the holy month of Ramadan. He also hosted many community’s Iftar to strengthen good relationship with him in order to move the country forward. Beside the orphanage donation, he has during the Ramadan thrown his weight behind contribute cash and rappers to youths to celebrate sallah with new clothes.
