The burial of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, mother of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, took place at the National Mosque in Abuja today.
The funeral prayer, attended by prominent figures like Aliko Dangote, Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II, NSA Nuhu Ribadu, Atiku Abubakar, and Governor Uba Sani, was held at 1 pm, followed by burial at Gudu Cemetery.
Hajiya Umma, who passed away at 100 in Cairo, Egypt, was revered for her faith, humility, and strong values.
Her son, Nasir El-Rufai, currently facing corruption charges, was granted temporary release to attend the burial.
