
A tragic road accident has claimed the lives of two intending pilgrims, Alkasim Ibrahim-Walawa, 48, and his mother, Hadiza Garba, 73, in Kano State. The duo were on their way to prepare for the pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia when the fatal crash occurred along Rimin Gado.
The victims, from Walawa Village in Kabo Local Government Area, were traveling together when the accident happened. Alkasim is survived by two wives and seven children, while his mother leaves behind five children.
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has expressed condolences to the bereaved family, praying for strength and patience during this difficult time. The Board’s gesture has been welcomed by the family and the community.
