Social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has urged Nigerians, particularly young people, to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying the country would be significantly better if President Bola Tinubu is voted out of office.
VDM made the remarks in a video shared on his social media platforms, where he called on citizens to participate actively in the electoral process.
According to him, Nigeria would be “70 per cent better” if Nigerians unite and vote against Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The activist stressed that the forthcoming election presents an opportunity for citizens to influence the country’s direction through the ballot box.
He urged eligible voters who are yet to register to obtain their voter cards, insisting that massive participation by Nigerians would make it difficult for electoral outcomes to be manipulated.
VDM maintained that the power to effect change rests with the electorate, adding that voting remains the most effective democratic tool available to citizens.
He argued that the 2027 general election could serve as a turning point for the country if Nigerians come out in large numbers to exercise their civic responsibility.
The social media personality also criticised the current administration’s handling of security challenges, citing persistent cases of killings, kidnappings and other violent crimes across different parts of the country.
According to him, insecurity has worsened under the present government, with many Nigerians living in fear due to increasing incidents of abductions and attacks.
VDM further urged citizens to remain politically conscious and actively engage in issues affecting national development as preparations for the 2027 elections gradually gather momentum.
His comments have since generated reactions on social media, with supporters and critics expressing divergent views on his assessment of the Tinubu administration and the country’s political future.
