JEGA — The District Head of Jega, Alhaji Muhammad Arzika Bawa Jega, has commended Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, for giving the people of Jega Local Government Area a sense of belonging through projects with direct impact.
The traditional ruler made the commendation on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, when he received the State Government media team led by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, at his palace in Jega.

Alhaji Arzika listed construction and renovation of many secondary and primary schools, including the School of Science and Health Technology, Jega, road construction and payment of compensation to those affected by road projects as some of the dividends delivered by the present administration.
On security, the monarch said Governor Idris’s support has improved the security situation in the area. “It was under the able leadership of Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris that we were able to sleep with our eyes closed. He supported us with security because, before now, we had security challenges,” he said.
The District Head said the people of Jega appreciate the Governor’s interventions and will reciprocate. “We are the ones who own Governor Idris now, and, Insha Allah, we are going to pay him back by giving him massive votes,” he added.
Responding, Commissioner Yakubu Ahmed BK thanked the monarch for his support and said the tour was to seek his royal blessing and showcase achievements. “We visited the College of Health Sciences, Jega, and saw the projects executed by this government. Truly, we should thank God for giving us Kaura as Governor. He has touched all sectors, including human development,” he said.
