Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed deep concern over the rising insecurity in Nigeria, particularly the recent school kidnappings.
He described the abduction of students from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Niger State, as “yet another sad episode in a deeply troubling pattern of school kidnappings that has gone on for far too long” ¹.
Kwankwaso is urging the government to take urgent action to secure the safe return of the abducted students and prioritize the protection of schools and critical centers of learning.
He also condemned the killing of Brigadier General M. Uba in Borno State and called for a thorough investigation into the incident .
This latest abduction comes after the kidnapping of 25 schoolgirls from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Kebbi State, highlighting the growing insecurity in the region .
