– *Poor Infrastructure*: The hospital has leaking roofs, broken windows, and dilapidated wards, making it difficult for patients to receive quality healthcare services.
– *Inadequate Equipment*: The hospital lacks basic medical equipment, such as thermometers and blood pressure apparatus, forcing staff to rely on personal resources.
– *Security Concerns*: The hospital has experienced security breaches, including the theft of a day-old baby in 2018.
– *Financial Mismanagement*: There have been allegations of financial misconduct and corruption among hospital staff ³ ⁴ ⁵.
A study on healthcare waste management at the hospital found that staff knowledge and attitudes towards proper waste management were inadequate, particularly among unskilled workers. The study recommended regular training and provision of color-coded waste bins to improve waste management practices ⁶.
