Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has commissioned the Buhari Dan Shehu Jumu’at Mosque in Tambuwal, a project completed by Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko after it was abandoned by the previous administration.
The mosque’s reconstruction was part of the government’s 9-Point Development Agenda, focusing on promoting Islamic affairs and improving religious infrastructure.
Governor Aliyu praised Senator Wamakko for his commitment to completing the project and expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his goodwill message.
The governor also highlighted his administration’s efforts to renovate and construct mosques across the state, including Sheikh Musa Ayyuba Lukuwa Mosque, Sheikh Abubakar Gummi Mosque, and others.
