A viral social media post shows an APC volunteer stranded in Owerri, Imo State, after allegedly being promised campaign incentives that were never delivered.
The woman, who traveled from Lagos to campaign for President Bola Tinubu, claims she was left without money to return home.
She’s appealing for help, saying “Seyi Tinubu, I came all the way from Lagos to Owerri to campaign for your father, President Tinubu, and I didn’t receive any freezer or generator. You promised us money too and I didn’t receive anything”.
The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many questioning the management of campaign activities by political parties.
Some accuse local coordinators of exploiting supporters, while others criticize the monetization of political mobilization.
The APC campaign offices in Imo State haven’t publicly responded to the claims.
Online communities are mobilizing to help the stranded supporter, with some offering transport fare back to Lagos. Would you like to know more about the City Boy Movement or the APC’s response to the allegations?
