The Bauchi State Government has deployed the first batch of Forest Guards to strengthen security in rural areas and forests.
The guards will work with other security agencies to gather intelligence, conduct patrols, and prevent banditry and kidnapping.
The Forest Guards received training at the Police Training School, Yelwa, where they learned security protocols and intelligence gathering. Governor Bala Mohammed said the initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to strengthening security and protecting forests.
Deputy Governor Auwal Jatau emphasized the importance of collaboration between security agencies to combat banditry and kidnapping. The Forest Guards vowed to work with other agencies to ensure peace and security in the state.
The deployment is expected to enhance security and stability in Bauchi State. The guards will focus on gathering intelligence, conducting patrols, and preventing criminal activities.
