A legal dispute between Hon. Isa Ado Maidoya, former Chief of Staff to Senator Rufai Sani Hanga, and his former principal has continued to attract public attention.
According to Siyasarmu TV, Maidoya is seeking nearly N120 million, which he claims to have spent during Senator Hanga’s 2023 election campaign.
The suit was filed before the Sharia Court in Shahuci, where Maidoya is asking the court to order Senator Hanga to reimburse the alleged campaign expenses.
The claimant has already concluded presenting his evidence before the court.
The case, which has been in court for almost a year, was adjourned to August 25, 2026, after proceedings could not continue during the latest sitting.
Maidoya has also filed separate cases involving Senator Hanga and his son, Samir Hanga, at High Court No. 12 on Mila Road and Magistrate Court No. 2 in Normandsland. The matters remain before the courts for determination.
