Reports say a commercial passenger bus carrying 18 people from Lagos to Sokoto was involved in a fatal accident after colliding with a Dangote truck in Yauri town, Kebbi State.
According to eyewitness accounts, 17 passengers died on the spot in the crash. One person survived with injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released a full report on the cause of the crash. However, officials say investigations are ongoing to determine whether speed, fatigue, or mechanical failure contributed.
The incident has drawn condolences across Sokoto and Kebbi communities online, with many praying for the repose of the dead and strength for their families.
